Yes, they did ask about past or present drug use, under oath. They also asked other people about those issues and sexual leanings - I have no idea why, but they did.

They seek corroboration from outside sources - that's the whole purpose of a background check. Of course my friends could lie for me - that's the whole point behind the suborning perjury charge for Clinton. The difference in my situation, was that while I was questioned under oath, my friends were not.

I agree - the President is the most powerful man in the world. He should be held to a higher standard than the average man, because he has more power and responsibility than the average man.
