Yup, sharp teeth alright!

Thank you, Beachbumm. Indeed an appropriate prize for a much-scarred
LSI shareholder.

To the thread: the prize was quite a handful of shiny shark teeth,
personally plucked from the Florida seafloor by Beachbumm. They will
serve as a reminder of how dangerous the Wall Street waters can be.

Maybe next time I'll listen more carefully to my own pessimism:

I hesitate to remind everyone that for 1996 and 1997 the LSI annual
meeting has been at about the share price high of the year, only to be
followed by 50 percent sell-offs. I can't see the outlook as any better
this year.
(From my contest entry post #12053.)

But three years in a row is enough. 1999 will be different!!!

Well Beachbumm, I'm starting to buy again today at the 14 1/2 level. This smells like a replay of Bay Networks when it traded at the 16 level, remember that? I'm willing to make this more of a buy and hold than a trade if necessary, time will tell. This thread is pretty calm in comparison to others when a stock has tanked. I remember lots of screaming about Bay going to 10, then CPQ going to 14 when it tanked back in February. Same with COMS when networkers tanked in early '97. In all cases things turned around (although COMS had a relapse since then), and they turned around when the screaming was loudest... Good luck to all.
