Brent, I am surprised at you taking shots at the messengers.
Having a bad hair day? Sound familiar?

GV, you seem to want to only discuss the things that are in
your favor and thats O.K.

You say, "Both you and I have no idea what margin these
products will carry. What I do believe is that plate sales will
be much larger and thus will be much more important to
gross margin in the future."

And from pee-air's post from the 10-Q,

"The reduction in the gross margin on product sales to 31%
for the second quarter of 1998 as compared to 38% for the
comparable period in 1997 resulted primarily from the
reduction in sales of the Company's Direct Imaging systems
to Heidelberg for the QM-DI,"

This seems to me a clear indicator that these imaging kits
have a higher margin. The Scitex royalty revenue from the
sale of their "DI" press would seem to be pure profit as the
R&D for such technology is already written off . Any further
rev's generated from these technologies is found money.

Good luck to each and all

Brent, 30 days till IPEX in England.

I was on vacation for a bit and must have missed all the marketing and news releases from Heidelberg/Creo on the new SM-74 DI that they will (NOT) show at Ipex.

Could someone please point me to the links of all the press info on this new prototype vapor press????

I do understand that the new revised QM-DI will be there.

I also understand that the new 74 Karat DI KBA/Planeta will be there.

And the Omni-Adast DI.

And PRST with many of its products including PEARLgold plates and the HDP proofer.

Good luck to each and all.
