Ibexx, I understand straddles, and I understand that if DELL moves significantly (+/- 5 pts.) upward or downward, you'll make money. I have no question about that, nor do I question your strategy. It is a very prudent way to hedge, unless of course, the stock goes no where (which obviously it is not). You might want to pick up a book on market dynamics so you'll be able to discern a short squeeze from small potatoes trading (the latter being your description of today's activity). Regards, LoD
