yes, I think the point is well slashed that X is a big shaggy dog and not a fundament of elegance. So wherein the solutione? KDE? GNOME?

X has many of the problems basic despite the glitches many that are better under Xree86. Better glitches. But software focus and miceplexity is still a bear..

Towards the desktop better must we march still.. and fast approach it as the programs must use it..

If we don't get a GIU standardized somehow.. and simplified for the user and programmer alike and better then Linux will remain golden fruit for the great swelterin herd of computer usagers.. unnattainable and a legend..

Couldn't force myself into the reading of the whole article as it seemed pretty much obsolete. Looks like it was written in 1992. Is it still relevant?
