NetBank charges nothing for ATM access, the owner of the ATM may charge you though. Fortunately, many grocery stores now install ATMs that may be used freely. In that case, you can use it all you want without any charges at all.

The ATM thing is one drawback to Internet banking. The interest rates paid on savings are much better (5.5%), so you can figure out if its a good deal for you or not by estimating your total ATM charges every month and the extra interest earned. Average account balance at NetBank is about $15K, so I imagine the additional interest and free bill paying more than makes up for ATM charges, if any.

Then again, you can always keep a minimum balance at your old bank, just for ATM access and an easy place to make deposits before transfering to your Internet bank. (NetBank accepts direct deposits from an employer).
