I think unexpected attacks, like the one that just took place, is a freebie for investors...If we really wanna make a quick buck...sell now, and buy back tomorrow morning, watch how many more shares you'll be able to buy :)

The consumer products always sell very well. At this point, I'm more interested in how the business desktops and servers are selling. Anyone have any idea where we could obtain this information?

The consumer division of Compaq is doing very well. as rudedog has stated they are probably more lean and efficient than DELL. also there is no "inventory" since resellers can't get enough of them. However, the consumer products only account for 10-20% of Compaq revenue. Furthermore, the margins are lower on consumer PCs.

Compaq's bread and butter is the high-end servers.

CGarcia -
You might find this info useful when researching CPQ. Looks as though the top brokerage firms of Wall Street believe in its future, too.
