Sorry Fred, Will have to call for someone else to respond on this one.

I haven't looked for that detail beyond what I find when I click on it in the charts module.

Fred,

Obviously the scan program won't do the trick. You could always cut and paste but that would be ugly at best. I was reviewing the API and can't tell whether you can access that data. I will try to compile sample applications and see what they do. Do you know C or VB and have a compiler?

>>I'd like to be able to scan for new dividend announcements for CEF's
and create / maintain a dividend history data base. Any thoughts or help would most appreciated.<<

I see others have given you answers to this question. My suggestion is if you don't have a C++ Compiler yet is to look into getting the standard version of C++ Builder and use the C programming language to write your routines for outputting dividend data. I have seen the standard version of C++ builder advertised for $79.00. I have not tried compiling the sample program Gary Lyben supplies with the standard version of C++ Builder. But I know you can compile the programs with the professional version of C++ Builder. Hopefully others can answer the question of whether you can compile the sample program with the standard version of C++ Builder. I bring this it up as it would it give you a low cost way to output dividend data.

Out of curiosity what does CEF stand for?

I also notice for many stock the recent dividend date occurs before the Ex and Record date. Hopefully Gary Lyben will have this fixed by the time you get your program written.
