Marc, I don't have a paired trade on Slob right now. But for the least friction, I would look at the historical relationship with Haliburton and Helmerich & Payne. The reason I choose them is that they are the other well-financed companies in the drilling area. But for more pizzazz, you might want to pair them with an R&B Falcon at the bottom of the cycle, long Falcon, short Slb, if the relationship was wide. Which it usually is at bottoms. That would not give you as safe a trade, but it would provide lots of leverage if oil ticks up. And SLB is one of the easiest stocks to borrow.
