Lakers17 exceptional post on your part, one of the best I have ever seen! Very balanced and substantive with both the pros and cons laid out. Johnny F, Investing is not a team sport. If you are planning on joining SI solely for information I believe you are making a big mistake. As IB and Lakers touched on the only way to learn is to do. If not you will not have enough conviction to stay with your position if your timing is not perfect, which for very few it is. Then you will get scared and the leeches such as Style Writer will prey on you and get your shares. The reality is investing is boring most of the time. These boards are entertainment in the meantime. I make decisions on my own, but the boards are valuable to get an overall feel for investor sentiment. To me it is worth the $200 lifetime alone to be able to pull profiles on posters which allows you to determine who is credible and has ideas you respect. This can help narrow down the field of potential stocks but you still need to do your own DD. Realist
