And another one for NNE Naneco Minerals Ltd - More Jiawula drill results Naneco Minerals Ltd NNE Shares issued 15,299,296 1998-09-15 close $0.31 Wednesday Sep 16 1998 Mr. Archie Nesbitt reports The company's confirmation and exploration drilling on its Jiawula zinc-silver-lead-copper deposit in Nei Mongolia, China, has again verified the presence of massive to semi-massive sulphides in core holes J-98-2 and J-98-3. Hole J-98-2 intercepted 2.5m (8.2 ft.) grading 9.14 ounces per ton (313.04 g/t) silver, 0.5 per cent copper, 15.53 per cent lead, and 11.56 per cent zinc. Hole J-98-3 intercepted 3.0m (9.8 ft.) grading 5.6 ounces per ton (191.87 g/t) silver, 0.34 per cent copper, 11.82 per cent lead, and 10.95 per cent zinc. These intervals are listed below. Intercept Ag Cu Pb Zn m g/t % % % Hole J-98-2 115.6-118.1 313.04 0.50 15.53 11.56 Hole J-98-3 111.8-114.8 191.87 0.34 11.82 10.95 J-98-1 reported earlier in a news release in Stockwatch Aug. 21, 1998: Intercept Ag Cu Pb Zn m g/t % % % 143.3-143.9 443.0 0.35 17.65 8.78 143.9-144.7 329.5 0.2 9.18 7.47 144.7-145.3 100.0 0.11 4.07 6.68 2.0 294.7 0.218 10.2 7.63 149.0-150.0 110.2 0.5 3.88 7.18 150.0-151.0 869.3 0.33 43.61 8.3 151.0-152.0 418.5 0.58 7.61 9.21 152.0-152.5 279.2 1.67 2.73 13.29 3.5 439.3 0.64 16.1 8.95 153.8-154.4 490.9 0.43 30.22 9.58 Core hole J-98-1, drilled on line 12-14 to a depth of 177.2m, intercepted 17.1m (56.1 ft.) grading 5.01 ounces per ton (171.6 g/t) silver, 0.21 per cent copper, 6.91 per cent lead, and 4.14 per cent zinc. Of particular significance is the 3.5m (11.5 ft.) interval from 149.0m to 152.5m with weighted averages of 439.3 g/t silver, 0.64 per cent copper, and 25.0 per cent combined lead-zinc. Naneco's current drilling at Jiawula is confirming and upgrading results from previous drilling completed by China National Nonferrous Metal Corp. CNNC's overall grades averaged 140.8 g/t silver, 0.46 per cent Cu, 3.38 per cent Pb, and 5.7 per cent Zn. Naneco's first confirmation hole, J-98-1, intercepted a 17.1m interval (56.1 ft.) grading 5.01 ounces per ton (171.6 g/t) silver, 0.21 per cent Cu, 6.91 per cent Pb, and 4.14 per cent Zn which contained a 3.5m (11.5 ft.) interval grading 12.8 ounces per ton (439.3 g/t) silver, 0.64 per cent Cu, and 25.0 per cent combined Pb-Zn. Naneco's technical staff continues to be encouraged by both the substantial thickness and extremely high grades encountered in holes J-98-1 through J-98-3. Naneco's staff further believes that the assay data and continuing field studies support the tremendous potential of the Jiawula district where Naneco holds a 700 sq km area of interest. The Jiawula deposit currently being tested is only one of 40 identified outcropping zones of silver-copper-lead-zinc mineralization in Naneco's area of interest. Naneco has drilled a total of 30 confirmation and exploration core holes to date on Jiawula No. 2 zone. Assays are pending on many of these holes and will be reported as available. Drilling is planned to continue through 1998.
