*o.t.*

Let's see...try this:

"History of the World Part 1" makes fun of ancient Rome/religion/etc

"Blazing Saddles" makes fun of the west

"Young Frankenstein" makes fun of horror movies

"Spaceballs" makes fun of sci-fi movies (aka Star Wars)

The one I couldn't remember makes fun of rich/successful people

I'll let Chuzz fill in the others...sounds more of an avid fan than I and I'm sure more knowledgeable.

Laura, just as in the stock market, you'll have to do your own research. You could watch them all, and report back with your own list.

Funny character -- in Space Balls we had Pizza the Hut.

Here's my ranking from best to worst (with the appropriate number of stars):

The Producers **** Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder blew me away in the first scene. I had trouble breathing I was laughing so hard.
Blazing Saddles **** Madelin Kahn steals the show!
Young Frankenstein **** Madeline Kahn and Peter Boyle made my sides ache
High Anxiety **** Madeline Kahn and Mel Brooks -- what a pair.
History of the World *** 1/2 Madeline Kahn as the horny empress of Rome -- what a hoot!
Space Balls ** not up to his usual
Silent Movie **
Life Stinks * did nothing for me
