TR3/Graphics accelerator

HI Bleeker
you asked Can Joe quantify how much bigger the [PC] market for TR3 could be without a 3-D accelerator?

Without an acelerator, the market is is just about everyone who has a PC with a pentium 90 upwards, or, all the people who bought TR and TRII plus new sales. 7 million according to the annual report, so maybe 1/2 that for Tr3?
The last figures I saw, was that less than 10% of Pc's had an accelerator. So, if TR3 needed an acelerator, it would cut its potential sales by 90%, or possibly a bit less if you assume that its higher end systems that have accelerators and they are likely to be the sort of systems that games players have.

Whatever, its good news if this is true (and I believe it is) because anything that restricts Tr3 sales cannot by definition be good.
