I think that with any new concept which is ultimately going to change the way we do things, there is always going to be negative commentary which refers to it as a flash in the pan, only for the rich, only for those who like gadgets...what-have-you...I'll tell you, Portico has changed the way I work...and as a priest with three congregations, I have neither money, nor time....and Portico is affordable in both arenas...I'm signed up for 1300 minutes a month at $150 a pop....and I don't find that prohibitive at all. I no longer have two different answering machines with innumerable codes to remember...I have a single digit to push on my speed dialer and the rest is easy...People find using Portico when they call to be easier and a number have even signed up for the service themselves. We are in the infancy stages of a new technology...there is always inertia to overcome....but as the saying goes....how are you going to keep them down on the farm once they've seen Paris???
