Just some Euro/British facts about politicians that you may remember:-

Mr Gladstone apparently was in the regular habit of inviting very young females into the Cabinet Room (for what exact purpose I'm not expert in history enough to go into)

Mr Lloyd George apparently used the Cabinet Table for conducting innapropriate realtionships.

Mr Mitterand's mistress, who most of us had never heard of until he died, was at the side of his wife at the funeral together with their daughter and the his children with his wife.

There have been rumours about several British Prime Ministers over the years including where they did whatever they are supposed to have done and with women who were Government employees but it has always been the public view that what politicians do in their private lives is their own business and no-one elses. Doesn't seem to me to be such a bad idea.

The idea that men are not going to have extra-marital affairs from now on is quite frankly absurd. My guess is that human behaviour isn't going to change to satisfy the current requirements of the US political system and its attendant media.
