Diamond...check out PDG, HM, ASL and my favorite NEM(rich uncle to NGC). All have been under accumulation this week and are flashing reversal even tho gold has been fairly flat.http://www.iqc.com/chart/default.asp?period=120&time=day&chart=candle&chart1=ma&volume=y&rsi=y&stochastics=y&momentum=y&symbol=nem

Diamond, you need to understand which TA tool is more suitable for which period. Currently we have a very indecisive market and is also volatile. The uptrend or downtrend for a lot of stocks last but 3-4 days. With this kind of trading pattern, BB and plain old support/resistence are all I'm looking at. In another period in another time, I may look at RSI, stochastics and all that but not now because these indicators are more suited for longer trend. But even when we use it against the bear market drillers we are not getting much help these days.

The beauty of BB is when the price get from one end to the other it typically has one of two direction: 1) bounce back; or 2) continue the surfing. If it bounce back, then it is fair the direction will reverse short term. But if it surfs, then it simply means people are selling into an already oversold condition. The drillers have been doing this for the past 3 months. In recent days, some of them did move into the upper BB channel but from what I can see these selected few should be shorted again because they will likeyly get bounce off the upper BB and head back into the lower BB.

I think gold stocks have bottomed, but it will not be a DELL-type move back to the upside. Someone is heavily buying calls in NEM and ABX as well as other blue-chip golds?
