I'm happy for you that you are doing this(newsletter), I remember you had some interest in doing it.

I also did not ignore your message about it on P-Mail....my P-Mail has 12 letters I have to respond seriously to. Including another message about a newsletter column. This person asking is quite a good stockpicker I am told.

But as usual, I don't see how what I would say would be of any help. By the time the ink was dry I would have made my trade and been long gone. Another problem is that I would have to commit to 3, 4 days a week as a contributor. I don't think I can box out that much time.

<I got the newsletter and you can take over the thread.>

Nope. I could never take your place on the thread. I would not know a CYMI from a RMBS. I do know this; I believe that another 100 points is coming off the SPX. My timeframe is by mid-September.

Of course you could just put that in your pipe and smoke it but the implied suggestion is to be somewhat judicious about near-term fire-sale prices as I think the fire-sale will see a lot of mark-downs.

*OT* <<BTE-at $499 a year to listen to the pearls of wisdom from TMex, I wonder if we should try to compete with him on Stock Swap. I got the newsletter and you can take over the thread. SE, being the green eyeshade, handles the finances while Jeff drums up business from the other threads. All we need now is to designate someone as the bouncer/enforcer and another person to provide the timely *.wav and *.gig/jpeg interfaces. I'll volunteer for the bouncer job, I used to provide that sort of service in the past in my less . . . civilized . . . days. I'll be in Vegas golfing in the near future. See you at the Mirage. Pizzas are on me.
