<<Another view on LU/ASND (via the ASND thread). Comments anyone?>>

djane: While I'm probably "he who knows least" in this matter, I've always maintained that LU's purchase of ASND very well might not be the sure thing that so many seem to be banking on. The Cat's points are well made. ...Tim

Is LU really going to be a "go-go" company and stock? I am beginning to wonder. Underneath all the hype, is it really an old line, heavily unionized, bureaucracy that can't keep up with the times? Are Cisco,Ascend, etc, going to have LU for lunch? LU came on the market underpriced, and is a favorite with the institutions, but the profit margin really sucks in comparison to others. Its obvious that the growth in the industry will keep the company going, but I wonder if the quarterly's are going to justify the kind of stock prices we are all looking for.
