The American force arrives on station between 22-23/8. Maybe this fact will make the Angolans to act more rapid. If the Angolans intervene in the DRC Rwanda has now declared that they must send (more) troops into Congo! (To strengthen their position in the east or to oppose Angola in the west? The answer seems to be obvious.) What plans do the Angolan gov have? Which is the most effective why to smash UNITA? Can they press any agreement on the border question with Kabila?
