Alex....Governments buying up their markets to support them makes the governments as vulnerable as the Japanese Banks...as the assets continue to fall....how can they sell them into a market that continues to fall....and they will carry them on the Nations books at the price they bought them not at the price that the market puts on them....
Sounds like all the people who bought in the late 60's and early 70's and held through the bear...and finally in what 82 or 83 finally came even with their investment....
Now if that's the case...and governments are spending their cash to support their markets....how will they do the business of government, over the next couple of years....because tax revenues will fall off and not refill the coffers.....Do they raise taxes to cover their bad investments....and spiral their economies lower....karen
