David, You ask an excellent question about the relationship between bombings and the stock market. I did a little checking, and the day after the U.S. bombed Baghdad in '91, the Dow was up more than 100 points (part of this, I think, was due to relief that the U.S. had finally taken decisive action after months of building up to it). I haven't had time to check on the reaction to some of the smaller-scale air strikes. One of the differences with the latest bombings, I think, is the uncertainty brought on by no one knowing what Osama bin Laden might do next.

Just got in.... See HDIE is still up for the week, loose hands taking profit. Lack of patience. Seems to me with the threat of Bombing, the market should be UP?????? IMNHO S
