Actually, it was "hard money" for the Clinton/Gore campaign as opposed to "soft money" for the DNC. The DNC should also be investigated for the laundering of campaign money for the Teamsters' Carey.

DougHboy- Gore did ONE SINGLE THING. He made phone calls from his VP office when he knew or did not know that he was raising "hard" money for the DNC. You are forgetting the famous Buddhist Temple visit, the "Coffee Klatches", the Teamster's campaign, the Lincoln bedroom, and even Clinton's confession on tape of the donations going to create the commercials. Now we've even got some handwriting of a memo that Gore supposedly read. This is what the public knows as fact. How can the FBI director and campaign finance lead investigator call for an IC, given what they know, if it was just some phone calls?

I don't know which you are more blinded by--your partisanship or your stupidity. Gore is just not being suspected of making phone calls from a government building. He is also known to have participated in a fund raisers that are patently illegal as well as being up to his ears in accepting money from sources close to the Chinese government. If there are similar abuses in the GOP then I say "bring it on". I would LOVE to have the Democrat party match illegality with illegality between the GOP and their party.
