I respectfully disagree with you. The US did not get into world leadership position by being pacifist. This is not in my realm of knowledge or interest but I suspect, had Ireland or others been as swift, that possibly 30 years of grief would have been shortened considerably.

The US has every right to pursue anyone or any organization that has attacked either US citizens or property. If we didn't, we'd have many more Bosnia situations and the world would be more populated with the likes of Saddam.
