DDude, are you saying that this IS what Dell is doing? If so, why wouldn't it come around to haunt them eventually (ie. if CPQ and others work the relationship AND business relationship better)...?

I have found that ARROGANCE never helps a company in the long run...look at IBM...they have missed many opportunities because of their arrogance in the 60s, 70s, 80s...

Please explain.

Also, as Compaq moves direct (and others do), can they afford to treat the suppliers better than Dell does (ie. including financial terms)? Thanks, GR
