I agree entirely. We've been in a tight 5-point trading range on the S&P the last two hours since coming off 1055; let's hope we maintain the stability the next two hours and not sell-off further into the close.

CELL is depressing, but we could still close at 11 1/2, which would be a mild positive.

An interesting situation: short-term rates are now higher than long-term rates (fed funds vs. long bond). While the reason may be flight-to-quality, in the past such a situation has been a prelude to recession about half the time. Look at the financials today -- huge companies like TRV and MER down 3-4 points. Very interesting.
