John, I think T was the last straw. As you know, I thought the deal might be in trouble following Ciena's warnings and corrections of its accounting oversights in the registration documents. I am convinced that a new deal will go through with much more favorable terms for TLAB shareholders. Ciena has a small customer base and is vulnerable to loss of a single order. Given Ciena's stock price before the word of the merger came out, and given all of the subsequent negative news on Ciena, I think that there is little doubt that the Street still believes Ciena will be acquired, but at a much reduced price. Perhaps 0.5 shares of TLAB for each share of CIEN.

TTFN,
CTC
