Pravin, help me out here. The following is from TDDDF's web site:

Related to its change of business model, the Company recently announced the formation of two strategic business
units (SBUs) focused on PC workstation and PC desktop markets, respectively. Neil Trevett, formerly vice
president of marketing at 3Dlabs, has become vice president of workstation products, responsible for managing
the Workstation SBU operations. This business unit will develop and market both board-level and chip-level
solutions for the Windows NTr and OpenGLr-based PC workstation market. The Workstation SBU will
combine 3Dlabs' existing GLINTr business with the additional personnel, technology and distribution strengths
of the newly-acquired Dynamic Pictures.

James Carrington, formerly director of marketing at 3Dlabs, has become vice president of desktop products. The
Desktop SBU will develop and market chip-level PERMEDIA products for the mainstream Windowsr 95/98 and
Direct3Dr-based PC graphics markets, including the high-performance and consumer segments. In these
PERMEDIA-related markets, 3Dlabs does not intend to enter the board business and will remain a merchant chip
supplier. The Company recently announced the details of its forthcoming PERMEDIA 3 processor which is
expected to be an important contributor to its merchant chip business in the PC desktop markets during 1999.

Could you please tell me what % of the business is for Work station & what % for desk top (roughly). DPI will make board for workstation market only. How big is this market? Besides E&S, NEC & Mitsubishi, who is is a competitor?

For the desk top business, I guess they will continue kissing up to the board makers with the P3. Pissing off STBI will not help the situation. I guess they have a good relationship with DIMD & CReativeLabs people, but these guy's commitement is as valuable as a street working hocker. The minute that somebody offers them a better deal and lower price, they are gone. Do you forsee, TDDDF getting into the board business for the desk top market? Any other products which they may be looking at? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Thanks for your help in understanding this crazy field. Maybe I should have done this way before I throw away my hard earned money on this stock. Thanks again. I am frustrated as hell, but I am still hanging around. The idea of averaging down has crossed my mind, but the last two times I did that, it got me in an even more losing position. I guess I will wait to see a little upward movement, if there will be any? I am very disappointed at TDDDF.
