>>>I just multiplied 4.2 * 3 and got 12.6 million. I guess our baselines are quite close. I hope we are on low side.

Well at least one measure of this transaction processing companies value we can agree to is volume of transactions processed. I note that they have been increasing an average of 1.5 Million a quarter since 12/97 quarter. Now the June quarter they said was slow because of IC Verify...so I'd really expect better then 9 Million this quarter / 3 Million a month if the June comments were accurate. That being said my focus is on Volume.

9 Million total wouldn't be so hot...ie indicate another flat Q. Relative to March 98..June 98 where they increased 500k a month 1.5 Million a Quarter.

12 Million would be hot...for this 9/30/98 Quarter.

It's hard to value a company in a 'new' market with no history, but they do the 'portal' on unique users and pageviews...so transactional volume is how I think these will be valued by the market.

So I think the Quarterly Press ought to point out transactional volume increases year over year, and this quarter vs. last. Like Page Views are to a portal...then one can guage growth rates.

Well Lee they answered our projections in this press release, and I just tripled my position...the numbers are what I had hoped for in the December Quarter and are ocurring now....

''At the end of 1996, CyberCash had about 280 merchants,'' said Jim Condon, CyberCash's Chief Financial Officer. ''Today, we're adding more than that every two weeks. The growth in merchants is naturally having a tremendous impact on our transactions, which are nearly one million per week, up more than 150 percent since January first. That follows a 180 percent increase in merchants since January 1, 1997,'' he said.

Nearly a million a week is nearly 13 million a Quarter..we had hoped for a straight line ramp to 12.6 million by 12/30/98.
