Peppe --

There were two contracts awarded. One included Alcatel, one didn't. I think it's safe to take the analyst's estimate of a combined $400 million US over 4 years as an indication of what NN can expect. I believe someone mentioned 59% gross margins.

Fred Dawson's article said the industry was being delayed, but it's unclear when the article was written and whether he was referring to US or Canada. Since they're governed by different regulatory bodies, they can't be lumped together.

Even if Mr. Dawson wrote his article yesterday, it doesn't negate the fact the LMDS market in Canada is moving forward. To the contrary, it exposes him as being out of touch. Let's hope for his sake the article's dated.

As a shareholder, I realize NN may encounter problems with deployment. Indeed, the entire wireless industry may go on strike and workers have to be imported from Afghanistan, but I don't believe the analysts who live and die by numbers will be compelled to factor in what might happen months and years down the road. Their models are sacred. They worship at the shrine of dried ink. And dried ink they have.

Now, sharpen your pencil. Monday's another day.

Later ---

Pat
