Threat? I don't see it as a threat. I see it as an invitation (mandatory) to take a trip to S. Calif. this winter. If there are
plans on taking depositions on video, let me know. I have digital capabilities and superb audio.

nope no threat. I have NO desire to get into all this. But if Araldica starts it, then I am prepared to do what is necessary. I'm the guy who is continually threatened and accused of ulterior motives.

I'm just a reported doing my job and my post indicates that I will not let threats keep me from doing that.

Free and open expression does not have to be and should not be defamatory.

If a person is going to accuse someone of a crime (an earlier post termed my article "extortion" which is clearly libelous) then that person better have some proof.

If I were out to suppress expression, then I would have, and could have, taken legal action by now. That's not my intention.

Remember, it's Araldica that has _already_ threatened to sue me (previously on this BBS). That is clearly a way of trying to intimidate me.

On the other hand, are we all sure that there are no market makers or promoters hiding behind screen names? It would not be the first time that happened on a BBS. _That_ would be a most interesting thing to determine.

My post was sincere when I said that the legal discovery process offers a wonderful opportunity. I mean that in an enthusiastic way rather than a threatening one.

Remember, almost everything I have written has come from official government records of some sort.

The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that defamation (which are by definition untrue statements, libel being the printed version, slander, oral) are _not_ constitutionally protected language...here or anywhere else in the U.S.

If the posters on this BBS were half as demanding of Mr. Landi as they are of me then all of you might have some of the answers you have been asking for for months here. (Just how many cases of wine DID Araldica sell in 1997??)

My articles simply answered many of the questions that were posted here over the past months. But instead of getting the same information that most companies willing release, I had to go to corporate records, licensing bureaus, the SEC, the U.S. Attorney's office and a lot more in order to answer the questions because the company would not release the information.

Let me tell you, IF I were in bed with short sellers -- which I'm not -- or stood to benefit from any AWLT stock price changes -- which I don't -- I certainly would NOT be spending as much time as am with the SEC etc. I might be dumb, but I ain't THAT dumb.
