Applying that same keep-it-simple reasoning, Pittman does not expect the personal computer to become either a television receiver or a replacement for the telephone. "They're not going to watch TV on their PC. There's already a TV in every home. It's very convenient," he said.

"We have AOL Phone. It works perfectly fine, but we can't figure out how to make it more convenient than the phone is now. [Net telephony] is not going to be a big part of the future at AOL."

Harry --- ONLY when it can be loaded faster than 56k and clicked through without being fully loaded. The main reason I use IBM as my ISP and Netscape is because those damn banners do not pop up. I hate CNNfn news as their header takes time to load before you can get to the subject..... they may not be quite so irritating when we run by cable or.....

Does this quote make any sense?

I'm pretty sharp at understanding AOLMath(tm), but this one has me stumped.
