John, In Toronto there has bee a huge surge of interest in the AMD chips. Most are not impressed by the celeron based on the first one. However the 128K of cache at full speed will be 95% as good as the 512K cache at half speed on the P-II so I think the new celeron will be quick. It will also be costly both in the motherboard cost and the CPU cost compared to AMD at same speed. That extra cost is thrown away as Slot 1 expenses and board extra costs. Those socket 7 boards at 100 Mhz are getting extremely cost effective. All the Chinese importers in Toronto are ordering AMD parts as well as Intel now. Bill
