<<<As far as foreign affairs, most other heads of state probably have more respect for him now, than before the Monica incident. I don't agree with them....but they consider us juvenile & naive for making such a fuss over his dalliance. They don't have the Puritan history of our culture.>>>>

What countries might these be? France, the country that patterned its revolution after ours? The country that we've spent generations pulling their fat out of the fire? Maybe Italy? A country that patterned itself after the Third Reich just over 50 years ago and since has trouble keeping a government together for any considerable length of time? Maybe Germany? A country whose citizens used to protest against our troop stength in their country in the 70's and 80's when those very troops were placed their to protect them from Communist aggression, only to end up tearing down the Berlin Wall themselves? How about England? A country that spends millions upon millions to prop up a monarchy with absolutely no legislative, executive or judicial power? Another country that we have spent many years protecting from their own follies? A country where "puritans" chose to board a clapboard sailing ship and risk their lives to escape there to come here? Sorry, but most countries in the world have been around for quite a long time and still haven't been able to get their act together. Why should any of us care what their opinion is on our internal affairs?

As I said, I disagree with their view of love & marriage -- fidelity is extremely important. Maybe being an American woman makes the difference. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
