Speaking of speaking, is it just me who's noticed, the the language has been altered, so that "fight" has been permanently substituted for "beat"? You just don't hear people say, "She had to beat off her date" anymore.

"The Blazers beat off the Nuggets in the fourth quarter."

It's okay with me; I mean I've just noticed it, and how sometimes people will notice it when they don't say the right one, and I'm officially noticing it for Alex's benefit, here. At no regard for personal embarrassment; something I'm trying to overcome.

(Oh shoot. I coulda said "Alcohol is involved.")
