<<John: THERE WILL BE BETTER DAYS FOR YOU - FIGHT ON!
As a lurker and former stock broker, who has been watching this
thread for some weeks now - I hope you and others will not take this as - "a cheap shot"....the wide gap between the two stocks
SCREAMED out that the arbitrageuers thought this deal was going
to sour somewhat...>>

As I recall, CIEN and TLAB gap has been very narrow these last two to three months. A large gap existed between CCSC and TLAB. I was lucky with that gap and bought CCSC inorder to obtain TLAB.

Luckily, last week I did not fall for the CIEN and chose TLAB as the stocks dropped, and at $4 more because it is TLAB that I want!

Don I feel the arbs were lucky on this one..... AT & T call just before the meeting vote is strange. Ciena also expressed the same thing according to evening news. I also believe this merger will go thru only at a lower conversion. Brokers/funds last night were saying cien price at close is a buy. I wouldn't be surprised to see cisco interest come into the picture if things start to come unglued.

I don't take you comments as a cheap shot. tlab management reiterated several times that they were interested in tech. not cien bus. They stated how there reps were jumping to get a hold of cien products to start selling them. Let's see what happens on Tues. etc.

I am still a large holder of tlabs so imo I'm still a happy camper...
