Quite possibly the most cogent opinion that has been presented on here yet. As I said, Clinton is a Machiavellian but unfortunately he only knows how to administer such principles domestically. When it comes to foreign affairs he is lost in the woods. You see, terrorism as we know it today is just an offshoot of Stalinism in which you resort to anything at an international level to defeat your opponent. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a US President since Ronald Reagan that understood this. Instead he was booed and hissed by our country's Marxists when he had the audacity to suggest that the Soviet Union was an evil empire. Considering their history, he was being kind. The same liberals who are operating and promoting their pet theories today are the same liberals that cheered when Neville Chamberlain triumphantly arrived home from Berlin with a piece of paper proving that Germany had no intentions toward aggression. Unfrotunately, those that are "enlightened" far and above us must always be taught everything the hard way. It's sad in a way that now we live in a world where one device can wipe out a city of several millions. Those who think this a preposterous assumption, I suggest they consider your theory. The President has said we are at war with terrorism but as it stands no where in the country are we at full alert and yet anywhere in the country can be a target. Our borders are free and open to whoever wishes to enter. What has happened is we've watched our cruise missles enter Sudan and Afghanistan with impunity without the loss of human life on our side and we now think we are well on our way to safety. What many don't want to accept is that the tools for terrorism and the leadership is alive and well. They could easily be extinguished but a Democrat controlled Congress decided a couple of decades ago to neuter the C.I.A. rendering us in impotent to affairs such as these. We have been lulled into believing that all we need do to control and defeat our enemies is push a button and watch the video screen.
