Max & ALL: Thx for sharing your observations. I would like to know who will be replacing CIEN as T's main supplier for Multiplexer eqpt.

My biggest concern is that if there are other reputable suppliers, it may mean spell more difficulties for CIEN.

Further as T has been a valued Customer, what is the revenue loss and expectations of finding a replacement.

Thanks

I dont think the time to buy is now, unless your a trader. From what I have seen, the market does NOT overreact. To tell you the truth, it ussually underreacts. If a stock falls "too much" and everyone is screaming that this is the buying oportunity of the century, the chances are something is very wrong with the company and the stock will fall 50% more within 3 months or so. Just look at CD as one example.

Spoken like a true grit realist. All of what you say
and more can be found in the Gorilla Game. Looking
behind CIEN we have the components. Uniphase, SDL (UNPH< SDLI)
AT&T will be busy with Cable (TCOMA). Michael Birck didn't
buy CIEN because they had a possible order with T. He matched
share for share because he understands where the business is
going.
