Andrew:

Let me first compliment you on the dd you've done and the leadership you've demonstrated on this thread.

The Catlady provided me with links to other competitors including mcafee. I asked her what advantages PINC's products had and she couldn't think of any.

Rather than answer the questions I posed that Catlady couldn't, the reactions to her posts looked for hidden agendas, ulterior motives et cetera or shall I say the typical SI paranoia.

Now my take on PINC's product is that it isn't unique in what it does, but that it doesn't necessarily have to be for the company to generate revenues. All PINC needs is a piece of a very large pie to justify their valuations.

So PINC's plans for distribution seem to be the more critical so they can get a large slice of this market. Thus the alliance with the ISP, and possibly others, doesn't only make consumers more aware of the problem and doesn't make consumers aware of "the" solution, but makes consumers aware of "their" solution. This is a marketing strategy to increase market share.

THerefore, the question seems to be, with competitors, how much of the market do they need to make money? And will their marketing strategy be an effected way to make consumers and businesses more aware of their product rather than those of their competitors? Plus do they have any other products to generate revenues?

The products PINC has discussed, the games, seems like a change in emphasis and a change in the business plan. I also didn't see anything in their press release that said how their games would be special. With this change in emphasis, I'm a little bit concerned by the "du jour" approach to establishing a business.

Am I wrong in this assessment? Is PINC's product better or different from its competitors? Does PINC have a coherent business plan beyond the year 2000?

For the purposes of full disclosure, I currently have no position in this company. I have not yet determined whether or not to make an investment in this company. I value the input and exchanges on these threads. These interactions help me in formulating questions that I pose directly to the company and their IR or PR people. Based partly upon the answers to my questions from the company, I either choose to or not to make an investment.

Thanks for the guidance- "shut up fool." No wonder I could not get the ticker on it a few weeks ago. I will go back to observing, and appreciate your work on this thread.

Also, Greg said that there are approximately 15.382 million shares outstanding, 2.5 to 3.0 million in the float. The company has no debt, 12 employees taking pay, and 4 partners not receiving any pay. I think they hold a majority of the shares and looking for the long-term payoffs of the stock. I think any selling at this point is due to MM's continuing to short, or weak-sisters scared of a little loss.
