Paul, I think you are right ..."Dead Cat Bounce" ... I haven't "won" yet either because as my wife always reminds me ... I haven't made any money until I sell. If today had been an up day in the market I might have sold today. As it was such a down market I'll wait until at least Monday.

Have a great weekend

Paul.I am not a holder of EX stock but just caught it in a Friday scan for
higher than normal volume and significant price increase--and EXIDE
was one of a very, very few who qualified and the only one I kept for continued watch.
Dead-Cat bounce always a possibility--but in view of terrible market day and the Noranda news,it was a very odd move.
I do see where this stock has a huge short position, and there is possibility that due to the S&P removal of Exide from negative credit watch, and a re-affirmation of its credit standing that some shorts are
starting to cover.
Someone on Yahoo! thread conjectured at a hostile takeover, but who would attempt such a thing?
Will watch this with interest on Monday---Max90
