I agree that some of the tone of Info Dart's posts on his thread is didactic and a wee bit pompous, but to razz him for talking about basic statistical theory (bimodal distributions) says more about you than he, IMO. He's trained as a research methodologist, as am I (yeah, believe it or not, "off-topic banter" aside) the vocabulary's pretty much par for the course among statisticians. (the bimodally distributed) Poet

It's also reveals your intentions when you take quotations out of context to make your point. It is customary when providing a partial quote to do it like this.
