I was surprised to see that Dell didn't do a better job of recovering since it had been following the Dow just prior to its run-up.

IMHO Friday was options expiration. There was considerable option resistance at 120 for DELL and it was above that on Thursday. Other stocks had the same problem. Declaring a open season shooting war on terrorist didn't help.

It's probably no accident that Monday, the day after options expiration, is selected for the day of fall roll-out of computer offerings.
