re: My record speaks for itself...

William, I haven't studied your record but it wouldn't surprise me that you've had a goodly number of successful predictions. God knows you certainly made enough of 'em wouldn't you agree. Let me ask you this. Looking back over the past year, suppose that on the days Dell rose that it instead fell, and that on the days Dell fell it instead rose. Is it not true you would also have had a goodly number of successful predictions?

The question in my mind is whether your number of actual successes exceeds your number of potential successes (those you would have claimed had the market behaved differently). Is there a statistically significant difference? Please provide some statistically meaningful evidence in support of the claim you are making. Your record hardly speaks for itself.

Geoff

Willaneana, the only difference this time is that Dell is going to split on 9/4/98. Dell usually runs 15 points, at least before or just after a splitsky.

:o)

William and Thread, Bob Brinker was remarkably bullish today indicating this as a significant buying opportunity. Mr. Brinker has been quite accurate for nearly 12 years and this predicted upturn certainly mirrors the run I have been forecasting for several weeks. I clearly see the start of a big bull run for the next 30 days, at least. This situation is also supported by the lopsided put/call ratio. btw, the behavior of stock one year ago, ie "...the last half of august was soft for Dell" is only of marginal use and incidental interest. All the indicators I watch show we are ready to go. comments? You might find the sites below interesting and generally supportive of my comment/predictions.
