I wasn't trying to make a company-specific point, I was trying to illustrate the massive size and complexity of the Y2K problem that most industries are encountering.

We have plenty of ticket printers, ticket kiosks and thousands upon thousands of computerized machining and test tools, not to mention all the miscellaneous hardware located inside the concourses, baggage handling and ticketing areas. Somebody is going to have to inventory, verify and test all this equipment. I didn't even mention what's going on inside the planes themselves. The FAA (and the flying public) is keenly interested in keeping everything moving after "the big day" and ensuring that nothing unseemly will happen to planes in the air.
