Thomas, I believe there tends to be a large difference between men and women with regards to this issue. Guys seem able to put aside another guys dishonor a lot easier than girls do. For instance, if my wife found one of her friends cheating on her husband, she would feel saddened and shocked. And probably stay well clear of that person. Whereas a guy friend could cheat on his wife and as long as he is still, funny old Jim, most guys friends wouldn't be that effected by it. We just wouldn't talk about it. What do you think of the Mets, seems to be more important to most guys than why are you cheating on your wife. I believe it has something to do with men not being able to share their inner feelings with other men very easy. Men tend to separate their families, work, and friendships along more concrete lines than women do. It may be a genetic built in defense mechanism which has allowed men to view death and destruction and not be as mentally effected by it.

I have a friend who recently got a job in Seattle working for a company which does job placements. He is the only man out of 32 women who work there. The one thing he finds really nice and strangely out of the ordinary, is that nearly every week his co-workers go out of their way to celebrate someone's birthday, or anniversary with the company, or childhood graduation. Work and family life are much more intertwined than you see in predominately male work environments.

Women seem to always bring a sense of life's important balances to the environments they inhabit. Whether it be in simple conversation or more complex business settings.
