You know halfscot it is one thing to humiliate your wife by having an affair. It is quite another to let her traipse out in front of a nationwide audience and claim her husband is completely innocent and the charges are only the workings of a right-wing conspiracy while knowing full well you have done just exactly what you are accused of. Only a true scum-bag would do such a thing. Such behavior is far beyond just politics and is unforgivable.

halfscot,

If we undertake another impeachment with such a brief span of time since Nixon's we will set a pattern of "the patch" presidency.

If you put every administration in the 20th century under the scrutiny this one has endured(from journalists & political adversaries) you will find enough "possibly suspicious" reasons to start impeachment hearings for each one of them.

Tried but true... "always a few bad apples"...interns, past contacts, documents, campaign fund policies, etc. -- the devil(& the lawyers) are in the minute details.

The "instant gratification" so many of the President's critics seem to crave would be detrimental to our nation in the long run. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it won't happen. The press hates to give up such an easy story & his political enemies are only interested in accomplishing their agenda.
