JC, I don't think that was posted. IMHO, that's great news as developments such as this continue to support the bottoming of memory prices as supplies of key components become dear. Can only help the semi industry.

What Kurlak doesn't understand is that more advanced technologies such as the new Intel chipsets drive the demand for higher end components to support them, i.e. RDRAM.

I just paid a premium for 8 ns memory modules since the new motherboard I bought cannot use anything slower. I believe this phenomenon is not isolated to just me. The industry will insure that we keep spending money, one way or another, to keep up with technology. This includes RDRAM in a big way.

My favorite line was:

Rambus said it hopes that its 10 RDRAM licensees will ship between 100 million and 200 million D-RDRAMs next year.
