Darth, I have been monitoring that thread (Idea) and I dont know about all that talk about boyle. How long have you been on here? Do you remember back when Kevin and Ike got into a clash? I even think Lisa and Ike got into it at some point in the past. Ike has a delicate ego it seems to me. Anytime he is challanged or backed into a corner he flips. He does a great job and it is his thread so he calls the shots, that is alright with me. I havent posted on there but maybe once, so I have nothing against Ike, just observations from a lurker to the thread for about 18 months.. Lets give boyle a chance here... As for comments about DELL, China will be no problem for them, did anyone hear Mikeys interview on CNBC? That exact question was raised. He said that a China devaluation is a give and take, the give is that it costs more to sell his product there, the take is that being positioned there, he can buy cheaper components for the entire clientel he services. So he can pass on the cheaper components and systems to Europe, the US etc. Plus it gives DELL a position in Asia for product shipment and buisness development. It worried me too, but I think the worst case is that it costs more to sell to a now closed market for DELL, China isnt opened to expansion completely thus far. The best case is that things settle down and DELL makes out well on this plant. As long as a company has growing revenues and a process monopoly, things are going to be fine. DELL has those things, and it isnt going to be easy for anyone to replicate that. Does anyone know what Mikeys degree was in? I bet it had somthing to do with accounting or operations. Learning about and setting up a working BTO inventory system is genius...
