100% correct....Lt. Col. Munro.....see the '92 film if you haven't already....it inspired me to check out Cooper's novel and initiated an interest in the remaining "leatherstocking tales." Why can't the film industry do this more often?--teach & inspire with their movies. But no, instead of a cinema that strives for historical accuracy, we'll probably have one that rehashes the "Monica" mess in the near future. It has all the boring contemporary ingredients....who'll play the Pres. & Monica?:o) Ann
