From yesterday's SEC Digest: COMMISSION INSTITUTES ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEEDING AGAINST TRANSFER AGENT AND ITS OWNER On Dec. 19, the Commission instituted an administrative proceeding against Alexis Stock Transfer (Alexis) and Gina Ann Zapara (Zapara). Alexis is a registered transfer agent based in Rancho Mirage, California and Zapara is Alexis' sole officer and owner. The Commission simultaneously accepted Alexis' and Zapara's Offer of Settlement wherein, without admitting or denying the Commission's findings, Alexis' registration was revoked and Zapara was barred from association with a transfer agent. The Order finds that Zapara operated Alexis after pleading guilty to one felony count involving filing a false federal income tax return. (Rel. 34-47058; File No. 3-10988) sec.gov See also: usdoj.gov
