Monty, my speculation is that teh DUMA in Russia will pass some tax collection laws by Monday and more clarifications will arive about the Russian debt moratorium.

Russia is a very rich country but missmanaged not as Japan they have extreemely rich resources from metals to oil to wood similar to Canada but richer. A sligh improvement will make wonders. I smell a masive intervention to prop the ruble if tax laws are passed.

Remember that Friday sell-off in Europe was Russian triggered, which followed in the US. Zippergate only intensified the selloff. The bombing big mistake a warning which will only make things worse. A more broader action is needed and the US and Clinton do not have the support.

Money is still comming in into funds, 2.6 billion by last read and teh rally is getting narrower.

My speculation is a short lived rally into labor day weekend.

Net short stocks on wich I wrote out of the money puts, long Russia and thinking to buy more.

We do know market went up since midafternoon - the point is it went up on a much smaller volume than that on the way down in the morning. The closing hour (45 min) volumes you give are small.
